Sunbelt maintains solid performance through new awards.
UAE-based MIS Group (Maritime Industrial Services – OSE: MIS), a diversified engineering and contracting group focused on the energy sector, announces the award of several new contracts within its Sunbelt H2S safety services division.
The contracts, a combined total of over $6mn in new awards over the past few months, cover a diverse scope of services. The contracts reflect Sunbelt’s expansion strategy, with the majority of the contracts signed with new clients across Sunbelt’s extensive geographical footprint.
Sunbelt, the H2S safety services arm of the MIS Group, provides full service safety solutions and is specialised in H2S safety services and trading in complementary safety products. Our safety services division is a key aspect of the MIS business, commented Kevin Hudson. In the energy sector, safety is the mainstay of all operations and, now more than ever, we see this focus on safety reflected in new awards in this particular value stream. We are pleased with the development in Sunbelt’s business which has grown around 60% over the past three years.
Some of the new Sunbelt contracts include the projects below:
EXXON MOBIL (KAZAKHSTAN): A two-year contract providing H2S safety services (equipment and personnel) for ExxonMobil’s well-testing program in the Kashagan field offshore Kazakhstan in the Caspian Sea.
WESTERN ZAGROS: A two-year contract providing H2S safety services for Western Zagros’ drilling operations for South of Sulaimaniyah -Kurdish Region of Iraq.
BOOTS AND COOTS: A three-year contract providing H2S Safety Services (Equipment and Personnel) for BOOTS and COOTS drilling contract for PDO Oman, Saih Rawl field.
GULF DRILLING (GDI) AL ZUBARAH: A one-year contract providing breathing air equipment and gas detection systems for jack-up rig ‘Al Zubarah’, contracted to Qatar Petroleum (QP).
GEP – ASPECT (GENERAL EXPLORATION PARTNERS INC.): A one-year contract providing H2S safety services for GEP’s exploration drilling work in the Kurdish region of Iraq. The contract scope covers services for one firm vertical well with the option of another two wells and stipulates that Sunbelt provides a dedicated safety systems package on site and fully operational on a “continuous availability” basis from the start of exploration until its completion.
SHAMARAN PETROLEUM: A one-year contract providing H2S Safety Services for Shamaran’s exploration drilling program in the PULKANA Block-10 in Kurdistan region of Iraq.
